Hello everyone am new would love to chat

I am new to forum and would love to talk to you all as i was treated for breast cancer and i had my breast  removed in April this year only to be called back sooner than i thought to be told i now have skin cancer and also 2 spots on my lung. To be told this is such a shock i just put it to back of my mind which i think is best way to do it.  The rest of my family are more upset but i keep telling them to wait and see how things go.    I must say only for pushing it about the rash  which i have had since radiotherapy because they told me i might have rash due to it.  So i kept thinking thats what it is but i was called back to be told i now have skin cancer, as well as the two spots on my lung cancer two years ago i had nothing except for both forms of arthritis.

I keep going because if i think about it i would only make myself worse so i just go by day to day.  I have an appointment at City Hospital start of Nov so will see what happens then.

  • Hi sorry to hear your news. Do they think the radiotherapy has caused this problem for you?

i am also fairly new. Started my chemo for breast cancer last week. It was a bit tough for the first few days but easing off a bit at the moment.

its definitely going to be a rollercoaster of a time. But we keep going and try to keep strong.

    reguards X

  • I am sorry to hear your news I can relate to your views re worrying I was diagnosed with stomach cancer 2 weeks ago after thinking I was going to see Doctor to be told my ulcers had cleared up. Im now waiting news on whether it's spread I'm all cried out. Cancer adverts seem to be everywhere and every song played on the radio is for someone whose lost some one to cancer. I am being as strong as I can , I hate night time as I just can't sleep. I wish you well with your treatment xx
  • Hi,

Just to let you know this is my first time on this forum too and I totally know how you feel and what your going through. In 2013 I had breast cancer too had all my treatment and things went well until April this year when I started to get a funny pain at the top of my left leg. I was given antibiotics for a virus and pain killers  but nothing was working. So in June they sent me for  x ray, CT scan until in the end I was sent for a MRI where later that same day I was told that I had bone cancer, I couldn't believe it not again.

Two weeks later I had a operation to replace my hip and half my femur. 3 weeks down the line I was getting a little better getting about with the help of abit of physiotherapy. But it wasn't long before the bottom of my spine started to hurt me and I couldn't do my physiotherapy or get about properly. I was sent for another MRI to be told they had found a few spots on my liver and a small crack at the bottom spine. Had radiotherapy on spine which as helped, but I'm still having my chemo I've had 5 out 12 but they are not to bad.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, it's not nice is it but we have to keep smiling to get us through it. I am always here whenever you want to talk about anything.

  • I thought once I had breast removed all would be ok but I guess with cancer you cannot know what is going to happen next. I have skin cancer now where I had breast removed also 2spots on my lung so I expect I will be in for a rough time at present I am feeling ok except for pain coming from my scoliosis which I was diagnosed with2years ago I always thought you were born with it also have both forms of arthritis so I will have to grin and bear it.
