Hi 

I had my left kidney removed in 2013 after I spotted a small amount  of blood in my urine. The op went well albeit very painfull while recovering. 6 weeks  after thisI got married! On going CT scans indicated that the cancer had spread in small amounts to my lungs. I was treated with  sutent which has been remarkable with minimal side effects.

5 weeks ago I caught flu and pneumonia and was hospitalised for 5 days in isolation,  this left me very breathless and lethargic but each  day I am getting stronger and my breathing has really improved.

After tomorrow  I am on a two week break from chemo tablet. I have been fortunate enough to have my selfless wife's love and care through this time.

Every day I look in the mirror and smile because I always used to . I don't intend stopping either. I hope you all remain positive
