Hello - 2nd time around

Hi all, I'm Neil. Last April I was diagnosed with kidney cancer which resulted in having my right kidney removed at the start of June. As it had come on so quickly I've been scanned every 3 months since to catch anything else early. Had a couple of clear scans but yesterday when I went to get my latest results was advised I now have 4 nodules, 3 small and 1 of 8mm in my left lung. So have been referred to a different specialist. Feeling stunned to say the least.

  • Hi Neil, welcome to the forum, but sorry for why you are here. It sounds like you are really shocked by the latest news you've just received and not much wonder. Its' disheartening for sure to have gone through the major surgery for your kidney removal and now this next challenge hitting you so soon after. I can relate to your situation somewhat since I've been dealing with one diagnosis after the other for the last 5 years, even though my cancers are in different places than yours. I'm now at the point now that I ask myself when does it end, so I can move on from this. I know there are many others on this forum who are going through the same or similar challenges and someone else will soon reply to your post as well. My response will move your post to the beginning so it will be seen by others more quickly.

Take care of yourself and come on here anytime to vent, rant, or do whatever helps you and someone will eventually respond. Also, let us know how you get on with your follow up to this latest diagnosis.

    Hugs

    Lorraine
