I'm not really sure if this is the right forum for me, I apologise if it isn't. For a long time now I have what I presume is a gland in the right safe of my neck that gets hard, like a marble, and painful. The pain radiates out and up behind my ear. It's difficult to get my GP to see this as it comes and goes. I did mention it to her when I was there for another reason, but it wasn't paining at the time and she could feel nothing so kind of dismissed it. She needs to see it's there, but that's almost impossible due to the long wait for appointments. Any advice would be very welcome, as it's worrying me. 26 years ago I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and have wondered if it could be nodule on my thyroid gland, as if it was cancerous I would think other symptoms would have accrued by now.
