Hang in there

Hi [@Mrsrobust]‍

insgarted chemo in Monday and have has 4 radiotherapy sessions this week

I have named my mask like Vatch did and it’s called Venezia the italian for Venice home of the masked ball . So every time I go I Tom radiotherapy I say good morning to it and say this treatment is going to hurt you more than me

My diagnosis slightly different mine found in lymph node in neck am 61 female acid bike rider just biked 1100kms in spain over a 7 week period thoughtbneck pull butbwent tomdrs n whoa 14 days later diagnose begins . I have the primary in my right tonsil with 3 lymohnnides botmof soft palate .

i ammhaving mybtreatment atvStvJames  Leeds likewise at least an hour each way m62 m 1 Leeds ring road morning this week have taken nearly 2 hours as appointments have been 0800-0900.

My plan in 2/3 chemotherapy and 7 weeks daily radiation. The radiation time is rarely longer than 20 mins but twice machines have broken so the bestblaid plan starts if mice n men go aswry .

read Batch s blog it’s inspiring and frightening but if unare like me once I know things I can process it and deal with it in bite size pieces.

This group is a good one just shout out and someone will know something ..just remember listen to your body imdont look ill feel, ill but need to delegate the big things and *** the dust go,out and smell the roses ,this can be beaten just stay strong

  • Hi Hazel,

You sound like an adventurous person, I love that you've biked through Spain like that!

Sorry about your diagnosis.  Mine was also very quick (stage 3 breast cancer) from finding a lump that disappeared within days that my GP wasn't worried about, deciding I wasn't leaving that appointment till I was referred for early screening (I had a very bad feeling), had the early screening two weeks later and found out about the cancer.  Lump is the size of a lime, has spread already, and you can't feel the lump due to the general lumpiness of my breast.

So in terms of speed we're in a similar boat!  You're having way more treatment than me at the moment though, that must be rough going, and those appointment times... aaaaaargh!!!!!

I'm like you in that I like to know.  I can deal with facts but not people keeping things from me, after all the stuff is happening whether I know it or not.

I will likely have radiotherapy after eventual surgery (still a long way off at the moment, probably Novermber for surgery) so I will have to see what joys you've experienced with it.

Had chemo number 3 today so need to go sleep now.

All the best with the rest of this week.
