Growing fast?

Hi sorry I am new to this, I was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly 2 weeks ago and I am currently waiting for scans and to start my treatment in the next 2 weeks, I have also just given birth to my second child only a weeek ago so it's a bit of a rollercoaster at the moment. I have noticed the lump in my breast is a lot more noticeable now and I am worried it is rapidly growing!

  • Oh my hunny ... life is unfare at the best of times , but you going through this with a new baby to look after is just beyond unfare ... I would hope the oncology team will give you extra help ... and I know McMillan have helpers that can visit and help when things get too much ...

have you got hubby or close relative that you can talk to, or help you ?  It sure is a "rollercoaster" and you understand the meaning, when you get something like this ... I'm 8 weeks post mastectomy and it wasn't half as bad as I'd imagined, but I'm an old girl and could rest, as my baby's are all grown up ..

theres a wonderful "family" on here ... we all hold each other's hand, so your never alone ... my fingers are crossed for you ... let us know how you go, and any feelings, or problems, there's always someone on here to listen... big big hug ... Chrisie xx

  • Hi Chrisie

thank you for your reply, I've been for a CT scan today, I am assuming this is normal protocol? I'm a bit anxious about it but I guess we can't change fate can we!

yes I have got a hubby and loads of family and close friends I am just trying to be strong in front of them!

  • Hi there ... that's one test behind you , bless ya ... now everything crossed for results ... please let us know ... if you ever feel like putting feelings down on here .. it's a great place as we've all felt so many emotions and it gets it out .. big hug X Chrisie

  • Just a thought but just maybe your family are trying to be strong for you too, and holding feelings in ... this is first time I let my family in to share this journey with me , we cryed , hugged , and lots of shared feelings , like it's o.k for you all to say I'm scared .... I'm so glad I did ...  just a thought ... my young niece gave me a heart shaped saying , that said "your stronger then you realise, braver then you think , and loved more then you'll ever know ".  I think your that brave lass too .. Chrisie x

  • Hi Chrisie

i had my appointment with the Onocologist yesterday and all my scans didn't show anything that we didn't already know about! So that was a massive relief!

Also the Consultant was very positive with regards to my treatment etc and said it's very treatable the type that I have so it's made me feel a lot better!
