Grade 4 astrocytoma

My daughter aged 48 died yesterday after a year long battle with a Grade 4 astrocytoma.   It hit her out of the blue with no warning or family history.   I would like to say to anyone who is currently coping with this disease please never give up hope.   In her case the end was inevitable from the start, but she tried chemo / radio / every drug under the sun available and went through it all with dignity.   She planned what she wanted to happen at the end and even arranged for her own funeral - all to be done as she wished.   Down to being buried in a pretty pair of PJs and her favourite fluffy slippers so she could be everlasting comfortable.   There is hope, and medical advancements are happening all the time.   It is worse for the family left behind - she had 4 chldren and regretted never being able to be around to hold their babies.   This disease is unrelenting and viscious - it strips you bare of everythng you hold dear -  and that for that reason we must continue to try and beat it.   Please, please continue to fight.
