You need to understand that the person examining you knows far more than you (or Dr Google) so take what she said as a positive. My doctor wouldn't say anything at all other than I had low risk factors with no breast cancer in the family and having breast fed both children, but I'm still terrified so I know exactly how you feel.

I must point out that I am not a doctor, but I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer and a number of false alarms in the past 10 years. The symptoms you describe all sound pretty reassuring. The fact that your lump is moveable is good. Not all ladies who have a lump develop breast cancer. Many ladies get cysts, but they are not cancerous. Some of these have to be surgically removed, whilst others can be left.

I slept really well these last 2 nights whereas for the last week or so I have been waking between 1 and 3am and not being able to get back to sleep. Fear is awful!

I now wake and it is not the first thing on my mind!

I am glad to hear that you have managed to have two good nights of sleep. You will feel much better for this. Sleep deprivation is not a good combination with all the worry you have at present.

Here's hoping that you continue to have more uninterrupted sleep.

So up and down today about my scan on Wednesday. I just keep thinking the worst but trying to remind myself that it has more chance of being good news.

I hope I aren't kept waiting for too long after the scan to get the results because I will be freaking out 

Tomorrow is clinic day. I am so worried 

I hope all goes well at the clinic tomorrow . I was at the breast clinic in November and the nurses and doctors were fantastic they are very understanding. I was nervous as well but I thought that it is a step forward to finding out and getting a diagnosis of what the lump is better than sitting at home worrying what it could be. I am waiting for results from my biopsy I have another week to wait. It's good you are getting it checked out. All the best Lesley
