Glandular tissue and lump

Hi all.

About 4 weeks ago I noticed a thumb size dimple in my breast. Went to doctors and she found a lump. Got referred to breast clinic. I had mammogram and ultrasound and consultant said it was glandular tissue. I can definitely feel a 2 cm lump in breast but they never offered or took biopsy. I have to go back in 3 months time. I have read that it can be difficult to detect the cancer with the dense tissue. I know they’re the experts but I though they would have taken a biopsy. Any advice welcome.

  • Hi Tinkerbell and welcome to Cancer Chat.

If you're worried maybe you could get in touch with the clinic and see if it's possible to have a chat with someone so you can get your questions answered.

We have many ladies on the forum that have been through this process so fingers crossed some of them will reply soon to offer their thoughts and advice.

Our cancer nurses are just a phone call away if you'd like to chat with them about this as well. They are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on 0808 800 4040.

I hope you're able to get some piece of mind soon Tinkerbell.

    Kind regards,
