given weeks to live

my dad has pancreatic cancer, it’s been a month since he was diagnosed, I’m 25 - me and my brother are both young. we waited for an appointment where yesterday informed us no treatment was available and we should expect weeks left. I’m left feeling broken, devastated and with so much anxiety. Has anyone else had this time frame and if so how did you deal with it and did they go over the weeks you were given???

unfortubatly the cancer has spread a lot to his liver.

Please help

  • Hello my lovely Mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer on 2nd Jan 2018 and Mum died on the 31st January.  It was heart breaking watching Mum fade away and it was very quick. Mum was fitted with morphine driver on 19th Jan, lost her mobility on 21st Jan and stopped eating two weks prior to her death, but Mum did continue talking up until about 2 days before. Our GP practice and McMillan were very supportive and we were informed it was weeks  rather than months. We cared for Mum at home as this was her wish and we held her hand to the vey end.  We miss her so much. Take care xxxx
