Gastroscopy experience good

The NHS staff are not looking for heroes who put up with any discomfort.  If you are really really anxious please tell the staff.  They will offer you both a numbing spray that freezes you at the back of the mouth.  If you would also like sedation please ask.  I had both the numbing spray and the sedation and I can honestly say that I have no recollection of the procedure.  Remember, be honest and tell the staff if you suffer with anxiety and they will make sure everything goes comfortably for you.  You won't recall a thing.  I promise!
