Fucoidan combined with chemotherapy

My mom has rectum cancer which was removed by surgery 5 years ago is recurrent. the tumor is diagnosed that it locates around the kidney. Now she is using chemotherapy ( TS-one capsule 25) . I wonder if Fucoidan reduces the effectiveness of this medicine or not?
