Freakin out. I thought it was over!

What a ride this has all been. I had bowel cancer on the 19th of July this year I had surgery which took it away and that was all great. Fast forward to 5 weeks after and I thought I was about to be able to go back tk work but something went wrong my stomach stopped working and I ended up back in hospital. Was discharged awaiting an semi urgent endoscopy investigation. I had a scan whilst in the hospital which showed a very swollen stomach and thickening in the pyloric area. So armed with many drugs. I have times when I can eat nothing for days, I can't drink anything but water And a day or 2 when I can tolerate noodles and soups. When my stomach has stopped work I g I know because my back feels like it's contracting and crumbling at the same time. My stomach gets swollen and I am then medicating and desperately tryi g to get comfortable. The thing that has freaked me out the most is I was diagnosed 2 days after a festival with bowel cancer. The end of this month I am going to, essentially the same festival but a little bigger, at the same place, same people run it and some of the same bands etc etc and my endoscopy appointment came through today. It's 2 days after I return from that festival again. I mean what are the chances. Please assure me it can't be cancer. They would have seen it on the scans right?

  • I'm really sorry to read what's happening petrolrainbo but I completely understand your train of thought given the circumstances.

No-one here can tell you what is going to happen but we will all have our fingers crossed that everything will be o.k and we will be thinking of you on the day of your endoscopy appointment.

Do try and enjoy the festival and not let your fears get the better of you if you can petrolrainbo.

    Kind regards,
