Folliculitis sore spotty scalp

Hi folks

 On chemo fec 3 about to go into 4 next week. On my second bout of folliculitis. Super sore spotty scalp. Gross yellow Lostspots and sore lumps. most but not all my hair stubble as shaved on first chemo m.its unsightly with pustules and some super sore lumps.

Been to gp both times and got amoxicillin which should work but anyone had this reoccurring

Too sore to wear my wigs and sick of a spotty mess on my scalp. Please say it ends soon. Surprised my full hair isn't gone.

Any advice other than take the amoxacillin and fucidin cream. Just don't know why it's come back. Usually day 10 post Fec.

    I'm really sorry to hear about this side effect your suffering with. It sounds awful for you. 

    I've had a look through the forum and can see a few historical posts where members had struggled with a spotty scalp during treatment but no other suggestions on how to cope were made. I would suggest giving our team of nurses a call to see if they are able to give any further advice. You can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 

    As you mentioned that your head is too sore to wear your wigs I wondered if a head scarf might be an option to consider. Especially in this warm weather we're having!
