FolFox

Hi

I have primary Bowel cancer and secondary liver cancer wth nodules on my lungs.
Have just finished a course of 6 cycles of FolFox chemo. I am now experienceing very red lower legs and they are extremely tender. Looks and feels rather like sunburn. Has anyone else had this reaction and if so how was it rsolved?

  • Hello there and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear about the symptoms you are experiencing in your lower legs and recommend you speak to the chemotherapy unit or GP about this today if you can.

No one on here can say for sure what this is as there could be a number of causes. Whilst unlikely it could be a late reaction to one of the chemotherapy drugs but a doctor does need to take a look at it to give their opinion. Redness and discomfort of the legs can also be caused by skin conditions or irritation, poor circulation or possibly infection.

Depending what the doctor thinks the cause is,there will be a plan of things to try and improve things for you.

I hope you can speak to someone about this soon and that it resolves quickly.

Do get back if you have more questions.

    All the best

    Naomi
