see told you it was boring

  • Hi,

i had a lumpectomy at the end of may and went on a short haul flight 3 weeks after and was told to wear my surgical stockings for the flight and to take aspirin the morning of the flight. As you are 9 weeks post lumpectomy and are now having radiotherapy (btw I’ve got 2 sessions left, finish on Tuesday) I should have a chat to the radiographers, hopefully they are like mine and lovely people, they will be able to tell you.

    enjoy xx

  • Thanks GeorgieS for your reply.

Isnt it a lovely thought to be near the end of treatment? It’s all been fine but I can’t wait to not have to think about hospitals and appointments. Hope you are feeling ok, I got my follow up appointment through today for October, have you got yours yet?

I’ll ask on Monday about the flight socks, I’m sure they will say wear them :-(

    x

  • Morning,

I can’t wait till Tuesday you are always clock watching to make sure you’re not late for your sessions and your u can’t arrange to go out anywhere. I haven’t got my follow up appointment yet. I know the socks are uncomfortable but they keep you safe and well so it’s worth the inconvenience. Where are you going? Somewhere we’re you get spoilt I hope xx

  • I know what you mean, I am constantly checking my appointment times to make sure I’m not late, my 12 year old daughter is finding it all very inconvenient.

we are off for a week in Malaga and then a week in Dorset with the dog, be nice just to be able to relax and not think of anything else.

Hope you are going out to celebrate Tuesday, fingers crossed we won’t have to go through it again x

  • Hi,

Malaga very nice, don’t forget to watch your boob in the sun ️ We’re going to Tenerife in October and worried about the sun cos I like to get a good tan but probably have one brown shoulder and one white one lol. Dorset is lovely too, my son worked in Weymouth for a bit and we went for a visit, I’m well jell LOL. Yes will def do something after treatment not sure what yet. We are strong women and can prove you can get through cancer. Xx
