Hello, 

from what I understand calcifications mean calcium deposits in the breast tissue and doesn't necessarily mean anything sinister, there are many ladies on here with the same and am sure one will pop along to reassure you.

They are doing their job properly and of course want to investigate further to make sure all is well, although I know only too well how scary it all is....

Try not to fret, it seems pretty common....xx

I can totally appreciate how scary the waiting can be, I'm currently waiting myself.  The best advice I can give is keep yourself busy and avoid Mr Google he never re-assures anybody your best seeing the experts for that (breast clinic) they will give a much more accurate diagnosis.

I had the same thing happen on my first mammogram 5 years ago.  Scared me so much!  But, I had the calcifications removed via needle biopsy and they were nothing. Whew!  They did put a marker in where they removed the calcifications so they would see it going forward. Try not to worry too much, this is pretty common.

I understand it's quite common to be recalled after your first mammogram simply because they have nothing to compare it to.

Everything on here is right. Calcification can be completely benign and 'normal' to you.
