Fertility Treatment before Chemo

Hi, I’m 21 and have recently been diagnosed with bowel/rectal cancer. I have to have 3 months of chemotherapy prior to having surgery and have been told this may affect my fertility. Being so young, children is definitely something I am not thinking at this moment however would like a family in the future.

The decision I need to make is whether I choose to go ahead with harvesting and freezing my eggs to use in the future, or just start my chemotherapy treatment as soon as possible. The doctors have said I have youth on my side and there is the possibility that my fertility will return to normal after treatment but cannot be sure.

But I really don’t know what to do, I would love some advice please!

Fertility for me is so important, if I were you I would definitely freeze them as it’s not 100% that your body will resume as normal . I’m sure it will lovely but I would rather you have that side of things secured.

This is just my look on this :)
