Feeling unwell since CT scan

Had my CT scan and tattooing for radiotherapy for breast cancer on Monday. Monday evening after going to bed had the most unbelievable pain around the breast, back and ribs. This has happened on a daily basis since then, usually after eating. Have never suffered with indigestion or reflux problems in my life. Went to GP as the pain is so bad. He said it could be muscle strain from the position on the CT machine or indigestion and gave me some tablets. Taking the tablets every morning and still getting this bad pain which makes me feel unwell most of the day even when the pain isn't there.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Am pretty fed up of it now. Due to start radiotherapy on 31 October for 15 sessions and hope it clears up before then.

Am taking Anastrazole for the last 5 weeks and seem ok apart from some hot flushes.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Mary

  • Sorry about your news.  I have had the same pain now for 3 months had ultrasound and ct scan now waiting to have biopsy of the womb and ovary i also have fluid on the lung.

I have been prescribed oramorph as the main is so intense which stops me from doing anything and its a nightmare trying to get in a comfortable position.

Its too long to be suffering with this pain but was told this is start of a long journey.

  • Sorry to hear you are having a rough time of it at the moment. Hope things improve soon for you.

I think I am suffering side effects from the Anastrazole. Hot flushes, aching joints and terrible indigestion/heartburn.

    Start radiotherapy next week.

Hope you get good results from your biopsy.
