Father has appointment with doctor before chemo session

My father has stage 4 prostate cancer, and he's very secretive about his 'progress'. He's started his second round of chemo and now he is seeing his cancer specialist two days prior to his chemo session. I know the amount of chemo he is receiving has been reduced.

What does this normally inidicate? I'm sure it's standard procedure for something? He is starting to get a little pain in the legs (which I understand will get worse)

  • I used to see my specialist a day before chemo to discuss blood test results to make sure my bloods were ok to go ahead with chemo. They reduced my chemo dosage due to the loss of feeling /numbness in the hands and figure tips as it wouldn't necessarily get better once treatment had finished.

    Hope this helps. X
