Endoscopy

I had a Endoscopy a few weeks ago and the consultant

said, everything looks ok, I've took 3 biopsy  but

don't think nothing to worry about and the results

will go back to your Doctors..

totally forgot about it and out the blue got a letter

for an appointment back with the consultant at the hospital.

should I be worried? Especially if non emergency

appointments are not happening or patients having

telephone follow ups.

Thanks.

  • Hello dan11,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I think you should not read anything into the fact you received this letter. It is reassuring that the consultant specifically said that they didn't think it was anything to worry about. I think the best thing to do is just to go to your appointment and not to anticipate what it might all mean. I know it's really hard not to draw conclusions, especially in the current climate when everything is so unpredictable with hospital appointments, but try and go to your appointment without expecting anything. I hope you won't have to wait too long as waiting can really exacerbate this type of anxiety and make you fear the worst.

Fingers crossed for you that it turns out to be nothing to worry about!

    Best wishes,
