Hi everyone

I can see some of you are having a bit of a hard time and therefore i must count myself as being lucky to have had the perfect stress free recovery , even my surgeon commented on this , i think on my side was the fact that i never have pushed myself either physically or emotionally during the first 4 or 5 months post surgery and now 10 months on have returned to my work as a gas engineer 3 days a week , what i guess i am trying to say is be patient and one day it will all have been wotrth it , above all if you have any doubts don't hold on to them ask the question no matter how trivial you might think it is there is always someone who has the answers  you need , god bless you all.

regards

  • Hi Doug,

It is encouraging to know that you have made good progress and are back at work. What happened to my husband seems to be an unusual event. He was exceeding all expectations by all accounts. On a positive he has made progress, still in ICU but so far so good.

    Thank you for posting.

  • Hi Milly

on the healing and recovery subject i have met through work in the last month a woman in her 80,s  who had her operation 26 years ago and a man in his 70,s who is ten years post op , both had great stories and had spent months in and out off hospital so it's not uncommon , this is the kind of feedback we need to get into this  forum to give a positive spin on the whole experience and keep everyone as positive as possible , keep us posted on your mans progress  and take care of yourself as well.

    regards

    Douglas
