Don't understand why we have appointment

my 17 yo grandson recently had a pneumothorax but we have today received an appointment to attend a colorectomy clinic but we don't understand why. The secretary has confirmed this appointment is correct. Nothing was mentioned to us in hospital so to say this is a shock is an understatement

Hi nanna, hospitals they have there reasons but we're the last to know, my wife has to go for a brain scan, and we got a letter to go to gynaecology, like you i checked, best wishes.

Hi Billy,
we called them and they have confirmed its right but nothing was mentioned whilst he was hospitalised he's only 17 so worrying. And the appointment is a way off so really don't know what to make of it all
