Hi,

I had similar bleeding for about 6 weeks  then discharge for about 3 weeks. Went to doctor on 30th April she tried to have a look but I was bleeding quite badly she did have a look at the cervix, said she could see a mass and thought it was cervical cancer. Referred to hospital have appointment tomorrow.

I’m afraid I did have a similar experience.it will need the results of the biopsy to majke a definitive diagnosis, but having been through all this I’m happy to help you if I can.

Sorry to hear that AMF. My doctor thought she could see a polyp and sent me to the colposcopy specialist to get it checked. The specialist struggled to see past all the blood but told me my cervix did not look normal and she's pretty confident it's cancer. She didn't mention seeing a mass or anything and I wish I'd have asked more questions but there was so much chaos at the time.

Hi Psiren,

Just back from hospital appointment. Doctor said cervix is normal but did find what she thinks is a fibroid, she has taken a biopsy so fingers crossed that it will come back okay. After my GP saying that she was certain it was cervical cancer to say I am relieved is an understatement. I have not had a smear for 15 years and I will certainly not miss my appointment  again.
