Hi Susan,
I am glad to hear that you have got the all clear, but can sympathise with your depression. We all tend to underestimate the ffects that depression can have on us. The sad thing is that many of us never feel completely free of cancer. Even though we receive positive news, we still have the threat of cancer returning. This is like having the Sword of Damocles hanging over us for the rest of our days.
Have you told your doctor how you feel? S/he can assess you to see if you need any treatment for your depression. I myself succumbed to this a few years ago. I was reluctant to tell the doctor how I felt and even more reluctant to accept medication for it. Eventually I got so low that I had to give it a try and, what a transformation it has made.
We do tend to get very absorbed in our own health after a cancer diagnosis, but that is quite natural. Don’t be afraid, mention how you feel to your doctor and take things from there.
I hope that you get the help you need.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx

Hi Susan,
We haven't heard from you for a while, so I just wondered how you got on with your doctor on 25th May.
Did she give you anything for your depression and are you feeling any better now?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
