Dental Care

I'm after a tooth brush for my broken mouth!   I've had a partial glossectomy, chemo, immunotherapy, radiotherapy and currently on a trial with more chemo (and the bloody tumour is still growing back).  Any professional advice says how important it is to look after your teeth, but only says things like 'use a small, soft brush' I lost my toothbrush at an overnight stay for treatment...Any suggestions which one from the oral b range might be a good fit?

  • Hi i don't know about oral B , but any very soft brush will be ok any good chemist should have a good range in stock,. When i had chemotherapy all mine came loose and a soft brush was only thing which i could use, without blood .

Boots normally have a good range and alot have information as well .

Hope you can find what you want .

  • Hello and thanks for your post

I'm sorry you are going through a very difficult time at the moment.

We don't recommend a particular toothbrush brand to buy, other than getting a very soft toothbrush. Most chemists or large supermarkets should stock these. I see that Billygoatt has also suggested this to.

Please do get back to us if you need any more information or support. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards,
