Dealing with my nans diaganosis

Hi,

My great nan was recently diagnosed with cancer in both the lungs and kidney. The tumour in the kidney is slow growing, however, the lungs is not. I've been managing to deal with it very well up to now, but she only has a limited amount of time left. The epidemic is makng it so much harder too because it means i can barely see her. I just want to talk to someone who understands.

  • Hi Case_S18,

I am currently in a similar situation.

My nan has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that has spread to her liver.

She is my absolute world so I am trying to put on a brave face for her but when I am alone my emotions consume me.

I, like the rest of my family have self isolated since the beginning of lockdown and not had any signs of the virus, my nan has also been tested and it has come back negative. As a result we are able to care for her.

Does your great nan have a support network of nurses/family that visit her to make sure she has everything she needs? And do you have any family that are supporting eachother?
