Dad presented with stage 4 lung cancer disease aged 89

Hello There

My dad had had a cough since Christmas

Initial xray showed a lesion

Follow up CT confirmed what looked like lung Ca with sprad to the adrenals

Then presented shortly after CT with fractured neck of femur from metastasis

Has recovered form this but has been considered too unwell for lung bronchoscopy post op

He is trying again tomorrow

There seems to be a relectance for any treatmentt for my dad who was previously well

We still don't have a tissue diagnosis

As you can see we have already had 3 months of medical contact without a definitive diagnosis only CT findings

Is it all too hopeless or should we be seeking anything additional?

Thanks in advance; please feel free to move to a more appropriate section

Found the forum set up a bit baffling!
