Ct scan shows and biopsy needed...does this mean cancer?

I would appreciate some advice please.my father who is 75yrs old had had an armpit lump over a month now..

He had a ct scan a few weeks ago and a biopsy on Monday..

The results of the ct scan have highlighted that the lump needs to have a biopsy..which we have already done..

We are now waiting for the results anxiously..the lump has shown up on the ct scan..does this mean there is likely to be cancer there..

Has anyone had a positive outcome ?I'm really scared for my dad..

Need your help.thank you
