I don't know, for sure, but I would expect the scanning technician to only follow whatever instructions he had been given, rather than to adjust the plan according to anything he had seen.

I'm pretty sure that the scan will be whatever the clinician ordered, and that will depend on the symptoms your husband presented with. It might say on his appointment letter, what the scope of the scan was.
