Constant hiccups after first Chemo .

Asking for a friends ,has anyone had hiccups that won't go away after chemo and has anyone got any good ideas to get rid of them, thanks just trying to help him out he's exhausted with it .

  • Hello and thanks for your post

We have some information about hiccups here as well as some useful tips that might be worth a try.

I suggest if this is an ongoing symptom for your friend that he speaks to his GP or his chemotherapy unit or specialist nurse (CNS). They will then be able to assess him and decide on whether he needs some medication to manage the hiccups.

I hope this is of some help. Give us a ring if you would like to talk things over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
