My appointment to the colorectal clinic is nxt Tuesday and iv no idea what will happen when I get there.

Nothing in the letter explains what’s gonna be done if anything

Iv had Uss on my liver, kidneys, gallbladder and ovaries all fine!

Bloods done and my folate is really low and the markers are raised slightly to 48

Bowels constipated or loose, tired, tummy pains, hip pains difficulty walking longer than 25 mins and some weight loss ( getting weighed again Thursday) hoping to have gained a few lbs as all Iv done is eat bad to see

Getting really nervous as my mum died of bowel cancer at the age of 47 but was diagnosed at 39/40 then had cervical cancer .....

  • Hi zeduk,

I'm sorry to read about your worries, although how you're feeling is of course perfectly natural. I'm unsure exactly what will happen at your appointment, but there could perhaps be a range of possible tests to determine the cause of your symptoms.

It's good that you have an appointment and that you don't have too much longer to wait. Make sure you write down any questions or worries you have so that you can discuss things with your doctor, and also to find out about next steps. Once you have some answers it will hopefully help with a path forward.

Wishing you all the best and do let us know how you get on - if you would like to of course. You'll find support on this forum.
