Hi Sammy, 

 

I have to have one every year due to a cancer gene and i would say get the injections offered and also ask for gas & air it helps is your nervous and in no time the whole process is over.  I would say its not a bad procedure, a little uncomfortable at times its like bad wind trapped but that does'nt last long.  You dont have to be asleep with this procedure either unless your like my nephew who has autismn.  it lasts about 30 mins but with the drugs they offer and the gas & air it seems like ten mins at the most. The drink before is okay but make sure you stay near the toilet and drink plenty of water in between.

Hello please could you tell me which part of the UK you're in that allowed you to have the colonoscopy with a general anaesthetic please? My hospital won't allow me this and I would only have it done if it was that way.
