Cll

Hi I'm looking  for just a little bit of help, my partner had been in remission  from CLL for 3 years after chemotherapy which  has  left him with  chronic  heart failure, at the moment he can't sleep, he says it feels as if his whole body is irritable and he needs to get up to relieve this, don't know what to do, won't  go to the doctor and  I'm at my wits end to know what to do any help would be much appreciated x

  • Hi Alfie1961

I'm sorry to hear that your partner is feeling unwell at the moment. I wonder if he's refusing to go to the GP because he's feeling scared about what they may say. It's not uncommon for people who have been through a journey with cancer previously to feel this way.

Do you think that he might speak to one of our nurses for some advice and support? If he, or you, would like to chat to them then you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Unfortunately only a Dr will be able to diagnose what is causing his current symptoms but if you're able to gently persuade him to speak to his GP/Consultant/Clinical nurse specialist it may be something that they're able to help with.

I do hope that the situation improves soon.

    Best wishes,
