yes, I'm in exactly the same position, my lump was smaller and no lymph node involvement.....had an hours consultation with onco.....my odds were raised by 5 percent with chemotherapy.....he basically told me he couldn't rule out rogue cancer cells...so after much thinking I decided to throw absolutely everything at this now, while I'm relatively young and fit enough, am now coming up to cycle 3.... with 3 more to do, while chemo isn't a walk in the park it's also doable......

its such a personal decision, but for me..I need to know I have done everything to give myself the best possible chance against a reoccurrence....

It is a decision for you to make, but I think I would do the chemo. You may not have secondary symptoms as bad as you think, and it is your life we're talking about. The only time I think chemo is not worth it is when the patient is terminal and it starts to be too aggressive, and then palliative care should take place... 

Also there's the possibility of your cancer getting in your system and then you may feel bad for not trying... Going through chemo might ease your conscience...

Hi again some people have no side effects, I was not very good but when I was having kemo I got talking to to another patient he was on his 10 th session all he had was a tingling in one of his arms (not every body is that lucky). Good luck best wishes.

Hi just to let you know my cancer is not curable I have to keep having kemo to slow the cancer down it's gone to far to get rid of. Hope yours goes OK. If you have it.!!!
