hi my gp has referred me to the local hospital on the 14 day pathway as she says she thinks I have cervical cancer. I'm a bit shocked. Not sure what's ahead.
Hi Nova, i hope you are ok, l understand your shock , i hope you have started to get your tests etc done to get to the bottom of it all, i myself have just had a pelvic ultra sound for menopasual bleeding that wont stop, am also having a biopsy coming up on Monday,
Hi, Nova, i have had the results of my ultra sound and found i have 1 small fibriod, and the thickness of the cervix is at 8 and my overies could not be seen, and have now had my biopsy that i was to have on monday put back to Tuesday, understand the feeling time standing still , im very tense and cant relax , mind keeps assuming the worse, its the 1st thought on my mind as soon as i wake up. Hi I hate it when they change dates even at the dentist. Let's hope they do the biopsy on Tuesday. I'm on day 10 now of planning for the worst. I've planned my funeral at least 50 times! I'm driving myself mad, which isn't helping my bpd or my fibromyalgia. On a positive note I'm expecting a new granddaughter this week so I need to think about her and not me.
Hi Nova, i know exactly how you feel, i have done exactly what you have been doing, plus alot of crying, every time i see one of my daughters i seem to cry. Im trying to get myself under control but quite hard. Congratulations on expecting a new grand daughter, that is always something special. Update, i went to have biopsy it was a no go as my cervix was all closed up and scared , it wouldnt open, so another blow, any way im to be put on the list at the hospital , which will go as urgent and they will do the biopsy or maybe put me to sleep to do it the doctor said today. So again its a waiting game for the appointment which could be a couple or weeks or more, very fustrating, but no much i can do ,im assuming alot of other women are in the same position as we are. Well I went to the hospital today. They wanted to do I biopsy but couldn't do I have to go back on 11th to have it done under local anaesthetic. I just hope they don't give it by injection lol. Something has shown up on the ultrasound that will need treatment whatever it is. Looks like we are both still playing the waiting game. Hope you have your appointment sorted x
Hi Nova, i hope the appointment on the 11th goes ok for you and im sure it will, and yes we both it seems on this waiting game, i went to hospital today to have the biopsy done, and they stated the same to me as to you that if it couldnt be done , then it would be done under anaesthetic on a later day, but with perservernce, they managed to get my cervix open and a biopsy done , so anow waiting on the results, approx 2 or 3 days time. I hope what ever has showen up on your ultra sound is treatable, which im hoping for myself as well. Take care Barbara
Hi I hope you are ok. Glad you have had the biopsy but imagine that waiting for the results is stressful. I've got mine on Monday morning. They said it will be a 2 week wait for results. I had a melt down on Monday just couldn't stop crying. On a lighter note our granddaughter still hasn't arrived I'm getting impatient. Take care Renita x
