Caterina - worried about ovarian cancer

Hello

I am worried about ovarian cancer. I have PCOS and went to doctors for ovary pain which was occurring more often. I am 46 years old

I also have changes in bowel habit (more regular and softer) back ache, gurgling tummy, belching more than usual and bigger tummy (but I have been over eating). I have a bladder prolapse and that seems to cause some incontinence. 

My dictor has ordered blood tests inc. tumour marker test and an ultrasound. Also, and ECG as I’ve been having palpitations. 

I’m just worried and was hoping for some reassurance. Thank you.

    Hello Caterina and welcome.  It sounds as though your doctor is being thorough and checking lots of possibilities so that s/he can take the appropriate action to stop your discomfort.  I know it is human nature to jump to the worst conclusion; we want our doctors to do thorough investigations but we then worry that the worst possible outcome is going to be the answer!  You sound to be stressed and I hope you don't have to wait too long for the answers and hopefully reassurance.  Do let us know how your tests turn out and I hope you will soon be feeling less discomfort.  Annie

    Thank you, I also suffer from anxiety and have a strong tendency to catastrophise situations but mainly I’m worried about my little boy.
