Welcome to our forum. I am sorry to hear how anxious you are about your symptoms and wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow. Many of us feel as you are feeling, but you will find that it gets easier once you know exactly what you are facing.

Are you bringing someone with you to the clinic tomorrow? It is a good idea to bring someone to all of your visits, but especially when you are going to get the results of tests.

You are unlikely to get any results tomorrow, but may get a few tests done and, you may be called back next week for the results.

Thank you for your kind thoughts, the doctor who did the ultrasound thinks it is cancer, he’s taken biopsies from the area and the lymph node, results next Wednesday, he said there’s lots you can do about this and the cancer nurse is saying surgery to remove lump and lymph node will be first step followed by radiotherapy and maybe hormone treatment, all this scares me but not as much as having to face a terminal diagnosis- not knowing how bad it is the worse,

Although you're likely to get a positive result, this sounds hopeful. It certainly doesn't sound as if you are going to get a terminal diagnosis.  Your doctor wouldn't have said that there's lots that he can do without being pretty sure.

It's this stage, when there are so many unknowns that is the worst. Take heart that things will improve once you know exactly what you are up against and start treating it. I have had breast cancer twice in the past 10 years and have had a lumpectomy folllowed by a bilateral mastectomy the following year. Both were quite 'doable'.

Thank you for sharing your story it is reassuring, can. I ask how old you are ? I am 67 and feel very grateful and lucky to have had good health for so long! The dr thinks the lymph node is affected so could be lots more will just have to wait and see. Thank you Jolamine, my name is Judy xx
