Carcinomatosis

My beautiful 38 year old Mummy died in 1970 after 4years of being very ill. Her treatment can only be described as haphazard.

After forty-five years, I got her death certificate and saw  the cause of death. In the intervening years my aunt her only sibling got breast cancer twice, 6 of their first cousins including men  died of breast cancer, which leads me to believe though I can never be sure, to think that is what started Mummy’s and her uncle who died in his 30s  carcinomatosis.

I, my cousin and our daughters have regular mammograms.

 I still miss Mummy.
