Cancer treatment in East Anglia?

Does anyone here receive their cancer treatment in East Anglia?

Before my recent diagnosis my partner and I were planning to move to East Anglia at some point next year. we currently live in the West Midlands, my partner has recently moved up here from London where his house is currently up for sale.

He requires a hospital which has a good cardiac unit and I need one where my bowel cancer can be monitored and treated.

Any recommendations based on your own experiences?

Thanks, Jo x

  • Hi Jo

I'm at addenbrookes in Cambridge and the care I have received there since being diagnosed has been amazing. There's a lot of work going on there at the moment with the hq of AstraZeneca and Papworth hospital (a heart and lung specialist hospital) moving to the site so don't think you can go far wrong if your care is based there.

good luck with you move x

  • Thanks Hippochick. We haven't decided exactly where in East Anglia yet, we do know that we don't want to be in the middle of nowhere and too rural. I also potentially have treatment here to get through in the West Midlands which will take us into the New Year and we also have 2 houses to sell. So no rush but we thought we had better do some fact finding given our health needs.
