Hi K1ngston,
I just wanted to let you know we have some general information about Keytruda on our website here. Only your dad's medical team will be able to answer that so if you are able to get your dad's permission maybe you can have a chat with them to find out why? If you've made it to the UK now you can chat to our cancer nurses for free on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m or post a question about this in their section of the forum.
Kind regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
Thank you Steph for this info.
I fly from Aus to UK next week. I will try do some research with your tools provided so dad can have a read.
Great help
Thank you
Hi,
They may have mentioned it to your Dad using its other name - pembrolizumab - or just referred to it as a hormone drug. There are literally hundreds of drugs on the market, this is just one of many that his care team have to choose from. It is now NICE approved, so it will be available on the NHS if appropriate ... www.pharmatimes.com/.../nice_backs_keytruda_for_first_and_second-line_use_1194582
