I’ve just watched sink or swim on channel 4, one of the cancer stories was a young girl who had a mole that started growing, she had it removed but scans showed it was in her brain and bones.
I was diagnosed with BC in May, told it was a grade 1, I’d had no lump or symptoms of any kind so was a huge shock. I had my surgery and radiotherapy and that’s been it, I’ve not had any scans throughout the whole process.
My question is how do they know it isn’t somewhere else that hasn’t been found yet? My margins and nodes were all clear after surgery and the surgeon said you’re all good, I can’t stop worrying that it’s already somewhere else and this is what’s stopping me moving forward.
