Hello [@Hollibob]‍ , I had a surgical biopsy on the same day as you and I had a letter inviting me to come in about my results on the 21st, I think they just send out a letter automatically after taking the biopsy and fit patients in one after another, there's no way the letter could have got here this quickly otherwise. I genuinely don't think the letter has any indication of what the results are as I doubt they've even looked at them yet.

Sorry it's still a waiting game, it's horrid isn't it, I just want answers! I've got a house move to keep me distracted in the meantime and an MRI to worry about, hopefully you can find ways to keep busy too and in the meantime am happy to chat and wait with you until we know more!

I was thinking that the appointments must just get automatically booked in. They assured me they would call me to go in in 2 weeks so hopefully we get earlier dates.

Yes the waiting is horrible!  The consultant said even if results are benign its not the kind of lump you would leave so I know it's got to come out. Just the thought that it's there is driving me insane I just want it out.

Sorry to hear you have the additional worry of an MRI and stress of moving although I understand that this is probably a good distraction at the moment. 

Hi,, I had excision biopsy to remove radial scar on 10th Aug and my Consultant appt was the 30th Aug.

They have to have the MDT with all the results so I believe appts are 2-3 weeks post biopsy.

This wait just makes you question everything doesn't it! Trying to keep busy and 'not worry' but it's impossible. 

Only my husband, sister and boss know anything is going on at the moment. Don't want to worry anyone else with it but I feel so panicky and emotional I can't focus on anything else.

I think how you're feeling is normal. Talking can help you know. Do you have any friends you trust.  Often friends can help a bit more??

Biopsy results appointment has been brought forward to Monday 12th September. 

Glad I have a closer date but have totally lost control of my emotions! Trying to be positive and keep busy with work but I just can't focus.

I've got a breast appointment after finding a lump this week, they gave me 20th Sept, but I rang the department back and they had availability next week, so its on Tues 13th now instead, xx

No they called me to say it had been brought forward. I'm hoping that's not a bad sign but my mind is running wild at the moment.

The breast care nurse phoned me Friday and confirmed my clinic appt is 22nd and had letter in post to confirm. 

My biggest worry is im due to work Fri 23rd thru to Mon 26th but as there is only 1 of us on at a weekend, im beginning to really worry.. I feel as if I should be wanting to go back to work and see my work friends as such but im getting more in a stew.. my friends say, stay off sick, as does my husband but I feel so much a fraud if I do as only grade 1 etc. Thats what working for the NHS makes you feel like I guess..
