Oh my, what a horrible thing to have to go through. We all react differently to being diagnosed, I was diagnosed with breast cancer a few days before Christmas and I couldn't cope without all the support around me ( and this forum)

i hope and pray she will reach out to someone, cancer is a massive thing to shoulder alone. The doctor seems to think they need to tackle her kidney first, we have to trust them and their knowledge and experience to do the right thing....

in the meantime find a way to let your sister in law know you're there to support her, she has a lot of information to digest, and perhaps once she has mentally filed the info, she will then be ready to share her fear and worry.....( she may think she is protecting everyone by closing down)
