Breast Biopsy results by post?

Hi

im just trying to prepare myself for potential outcomes and wondered if anyone could share their experiences?

I have a large, tethered breast dimple when I tense my chest muscles. My Mammo and USS were clear but my consultant did a fine needle aspiration of the dimple 7 weeks later as it was still visible (he says as a precaution) ...also, when I took the dressing off, the biopsy mark is about a cm away from the dimple! I hope this is still ok! I don't understand how a FNA works when there was no lump to biopsy anyway?!

He told me he will write to me with the results in a couple of weeks?!
Has anyone received results by post, and if results were clear, is a follow up arranged or is that the end?

Also, I'm assuming bad news wouldn't be given by post? So if I receive a phonecall is that likely to mean bad news?

Aaargh...so many questions, I'm sorry!
But if anyone has any experience of receiving biopsy results by post, I'd love to hear how it works?
