Breast biopsy results- benign tumour

Dear ladies, 

 

I got a call from the breast clinic today after a horrible two week wait to inform me that my breast biopsy result is benign (B3 tumour). 

 I have a benign tumour that needs to be surgical removed.

 

I wanted to post to let other women know who are going through that horrible wait that not all biopsies are cancerous. I also want to pray and send my support to all the women who results come back cancerous.

    This is so nice to hear and glad yours is not cancerous. 
    My results of my biopsy will hopefully be in any day now. The wait is mental torture :cry:

    the above is so comforting.  Thanks for sharing and i am pleased it was good news for you!  I am currently waiting on my breast clinic (next week Thurs).... I don't feel I am here, I feel as though my body is here but my mind is elsewhere.  I cannot function at the moment and am fearing the worst. 

     

    can I please ask what your lump felt like?  Hard/soft? Oval/round/flat?  Mobile/immobile?  Large/small?  Painless/painful?  So sorry for the questions, I am just trying to cling onto every little bit of hope I can :(

    @worried9211 Don't be silly I'm here to help! My tumour was oval shaped but to me didn't feel mobile! I had surgery 2 and a half weeks ago and was told on Monday that it was a fibroadenoma! 

     

    I know it's hard for your mind not to wonder but you have got this! I'm here if you want to talk or need any support! Best of luck huni
