Bowel perforation following chemo

I'd just finished 8 weeks of chemo, & was due to have my big operation to remove my cancer. Primary ovarian, with metastasis to omentum, liver & spleen. Had 3 weeks to get myself fit, when the night of my last infusion, I suffered what I now know was a perforation of an area around my duodenum. Luckily only air escaped, but the pain was horrendous?!! They believe it sealed itself thankfully after half an hour, & only air escaped not contents, or we would be talking about peritonitis. I spent 4 days with an N G tube & intravenous anti biotics. The surgeon at the Hospital didn't want to perform surgery, in the hope my operation could still go ahead. It sadly had to be cancelled though in the end. They propose to give me more chemo instead, & perform the operation after that, maybe January? I'm scared the same thing will happen again, so I've researched the cause of "bowel perforation". Seems the steroid Dexamethasone can play a part in articles I read. I know I'm given this prior to chemo infusion, so had it that day. Also seven days earlier I'd received it before & after infusion, as they give me 3 days worth of Dexamethasone 2mg to take 3 times a day, following Carboplatin & paclitaxel infusion. Do you think I should mention a possible link? I had done so well leading up to all this. I am on a drug trial too ICON8B, so should I raise it with them too?
