Bone scan results

My dad was diagnosed with stage 3 prostate cancer at the beginning of the month. He has a Gleason score of 7 (4+3) he has his bone scan results today which shows hot spots on his skull.  We are still waiting his ct scan results of pelvis.   Can there be any other reason of a hot spot on your skull?

  • Hi Ange,

I saw you were asking about hot spots in relation to the bone scan results your dad received today and I just wanted to give you our cancer nurses telephone number as they may be able to provide some insight. Their freephone number is 0808 800 4040 and lines are open Monday - Friday (except bank holidays) between 9a.m - 5p.m so do give them a call when you can as they will do all that they can to help.

We do have a few prostate cancer members on the forum, one of which you've met already on one of your other discussions, and hopefully those that have been in a similar situation to your dad will stop by when they can to share their experiences.

Fingers crossed you don't have to wait too much longer for the ct scan results of your dad's pelvis.

    Kind regards,
