Had a bone marrow biopsy. Recieved results FIVE WEEKS LATER. Solid part of test failed because not enough material taken. I thought at first that no news was good news. Now I have been diagnosed with CMML and have to have another bone marrow biopsy on 6th of June because of the previous failure. Pity they didn't realise the partial failure of the first biopsy and arranged another one earlier. Surely 5 weeks is a long time to examine results. Plus why diagnose until you have all the test results?
