Bladder cancer

IAnyone having chemo following TURBT  feel fatigued  not a symptom I expected  to feel

i am 74 yr old lady and was diagnosed grade 2 cancer

.Had TURBT which confirmed I had multiple tumours .My follow up chemo started 3 weeks ago and after each bout My symptoms are more severe. Cystitis nausea and fatigue ++++  Is this normal

  • I had a TURBT about 6 weeks ago, although I'm not having follow up chemo.

I, too, am feeling quite fatigued and often find it difficult to stop dropping off to sleep. I assume this is a result of the powerful drugs that are used to induce anaesthesia; there are certainly plenty of references to fatigue after surgery.

You should have been given a nursing contact (sometimes called a Macmillan nurse), and you should feel free to contact him or her at any time with any worries.  I think you need to phone and leave a message.
